Falling back into a season of giving!

After our Summer break it was so nice to reunite with everyone, enjoy a hint of Fall weather, and be blessed by hearing from three amazing non-profits! Our first meeting for the 2021 - 2022 year of giving was held last night at our new and FABULOUS location, Sawyer Park Icehouse. The food was great, the drinks were great, the company was the best, and BOY was it hard to choose between the unbelievable stories of hope and help we heard from our non-profit guest speakers.

We are excited to announce that our September 21st collective donation was awarded to Elijah Rising, and we cannot wait to

follow them on their mission to end sex trafficking, bring awareness to the community, and RESTORE the precious survivors!

If you were unable to attend the meeting, please click here to make your $100 membership donation.

We were also touched by the other two groups which spoke last night, and highly encourage our members to follow their work as well, and reach out to volunteer or donate if you feel so led.

Journey Home is a Christ-centered maternity home providing support, training, and loving care for expecting mothers in need. Check out the work they are doing, and consider attending their upcoming dinner to raise funds for their new Forever Home site!

Family Promise, in partnership with local congregations, provides shelter, meals, transportation, and compassionate assistance for homeless families with children. This organization works tirelessly to guide these families into a place of hope, independence, and optimism for the future. They are a huge blessing to our community!

And finally, we were thrilled to hear from our last donation recipient, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, as they updated us on the tremendous growth they have achieved since our last meeting. So many kids they have been able to get off the floor and onto NEW BEDS! They even gifted us with a commemorative headboard branded with their logo!! Such a sweet reminder of why we do what we do, why we show up, and why we are so grateful to have them serving those in need around us! Thank you to all at Sleep in Heavenly Peace!

And thanks to all you wonderful ladies. See you at the next meeting!!!
